BSNL WINGS Closed User Group(All India IP Centrex)

A user can setup a WINGS closed user group across the country with both fixed line and mobile users of BSNL as members of the group. The users include both NGN and Non NGN customers of BSNL. This facility can be availed after paying a nominal charge per month per user of IP Centrex facility. It allows small and medium size enterprises to deploy PABX/ CUG service without really installing system physically in their premises. You can have a PAN India IP centrex i.e. numbers anywhere in the country can be brought into a single Centrex group.

Features:

  • WINGS closed user group allows small and medium size enterprises to deploy PABX/ CUG service without really installing system physically in their premises.
  • IP Centrex has no limitation of Zone. It is PAN India Service.
  • A customer can have a PAN India closed user group i.e. numbers anywhere in the country can be brought into a single group. Each member of the group can access the other by dialling a short code.
  • The WINGS Closed User Group supports different types of terminals of the enterprise in the same group, such as mobile terminals, landline phones.
  • Number Presentation/CLIP of intra-CENTREX call is the short number.
  • Dialling with the long number is recognized as off-net call, even if the caller and callee are Centrex users and in the same group.
  • It works between Fixed line & mobile Subscribers.
  • A CUG Group can have max 10,000 subscribers.
  • Customer can request for any short code range except starting with 0, 1 and 9.
  • A CUG GSM Mobile customer can also avail Centrex calling while roaming any wherein India with in BSNL network.
  • If a BSNL mobile subscriber roams to other operator’s network, he can’t use the CUG service.

Note :- 
i. Master number can be any BSNL landline of NGN, EWSD or 5ESS ( at present CDOT,OCB and AXE exchange are not supporting this feature as master billing and as part of group). 
ii. IP Centrex group may have 10000 members in a group. For creation of IP Centrex group for more than 10000 NCNGN Circle may be contacted through EB Cell/Circle. 
iii. Intra SDCA is applicable to landline number only as part of group. (Useful for apartment, group housing society, colony etc.) 
iv. Call made by full number dialing instead of short dialing will be charges as per existing landline or mobile plan. 
v. GSM mobile customers can make Centrex calling as Access code 1286(1261-Old Code) + Short code. 
vi. For GSM Mobile customers while roaming no additional charge for Centrex calling if possible. 
vii. Sulabh connection can be part of group (on request) but cannot be master of the IP Centrex group. 
viii. Billing/deduction of rental is to be from respective prepaid and postpaid account of individual group number but in case of default billing to be borne by master number. 
ix. It will be responsibility of applicant to ensure group numbers provided their consent to be part of IP Centrex Group. 
x. The tariff order will be applicable for a period of 90 days with effect from 7th Feb, 2017

BSNL WINGS VIDEO CONFERENCE (Multimedia Video Conferencing)

Using this service a NGN fixed line users can setup an audio conferencing or video conferencing between himself and up to 29 more participant. Customer can schedule an Audio/ Video conference any time at his own desire, by adding participant numbers to the conference. Any Fixed line / Mobile customer can be invited to participate in the conference.

  • PAN INDIA Service For Subscribers of All Types of Network
  • MMVC service (Pilot No.) would be provided to BSNL NGN Landline only.
  • Using NGN Conference Portal, chairperson can have
    • Scheduled Conference – which means the conference will be created in a scheduled time.
    • Instant Conference – which means the conference is created instantly after scheduling successfully.
  • Chairperson can schedule Voice / Video / Data Conference, at his will, by adding participant numbers to the conference. Any NGN / Landline / BSNL /Any operator Mobile customers can be invited to participate in the conference.
  • The Personal Address Book service in the portal enables conference schedulers to add contacts in their personal address books to the participant list.
  • Participants invited to Scheduled conference can be notified through email and calendar invitations.
  • Before the conference starts, the conference scheduler can modify or cancel the conferences scheduled by him.
  • The conference scheduler can query the information of the current conferences or history conferences scheduled by him.
  • Automated Dial Out option is available for Scheduled conferences.
  • It allows three or more users registered and authorized to join in a multimedia conference and communicate in real-time using audio and video.
  • It is possible to use audio, video and text such as power point presentations (PPTs) simultaneously.
  • It is possible to record the conference.
  • Conference coordinator have control options like muting certain participants, making a particular participant invisible from others, document sharing, voting for a decision.
  • It is possible to include any combination of phones, SIP terminals and PC/mobile Soft-clients in a conference.
  • Customer should have at least one BSNL IMS/ PSTN number to avail the BSNL Wings Video Conference service

How BSNL Wings Video Conference works ?
  • Customer will be provided with the userid and password for login into the NGN conference portalhttp://conference.ngn.bsnl.co.in to schedule the conference.
  • Participant can dial the bridge number 12502 or +918024441555 and access the conference by entering conference id and password communicated via SMS and email. Participants can also join the data or video conference on laptop/ PC through NGN Conference Portal, http://conference.ngn.bsnl.co.in. or through various app provided for mobiles (like m-meeting)

BSNL Limited Fixed Mobile Telephony

Limited Fixed Mobile Telephone is facility of fixed telephone number with O/G and I/C calls on smart mobile devices such as smart phones with wi-fi facility. The smart phone need to download App and with connectivity with BSNL broadband modem (say on wi-fi) the customer can receive and also able to make outgoing calls using Limited Fixed Mobile Telephony App available on smart phone handsets. This service is in no way linked with mobile operator service / customer SIM in mobile handset. This service can be availed as add on service for existing BSNL customer having BSNL broadband / Combo or new customer opting for BSNL broadband Combo. Separate telephone number will be provided to customer to avail this service.

This service will give advantage of smart phones like using contacts, logs and better voice quality where mobile signals are poor. In order to restrict usage with in customer premises ( office or residence) , the BSNL broadband will have to be provided and use with will  restricted to access through BSNL broadband of customer at Residence / office only. Limited FMT Call charges will be as applicable for basic service.

WINGS FOLLOW ME (Fixed mobile convergence) BSNL

BSNL provides WINGS Follow Me services between mobile and IMS Fixed (landline). It is one type of Call forwarding or call follow service. Customer can divert the incoming calls of other numbers in the Group to any one number in the group. This means customer do not miss any call at any time and remains always in touch with the world

Features
  • It enables users multiple number services at one place.
  • It is possible to terminate the call on either of the numbers or both the numbers in parallel or in a sequential manner.
  • It is postpaid service.
  • Maximum 9 numbers can be added in a Follow me group including the primary number which should be a NGN Landline.
  • Any number can be mapped as connect number for receiving the calls by dialling the activation code from any number in FMC group.
  • Deactivation can be done from any number in the FMC group.

How WINGS Follow Me Works?

Service Activation Code: 12891xx (where xx = 71 to 79).
Service De-activation Code: 12891xx (where xx = 88).
Suppose subscriber has three numbers of BSNL:
A --- home number. (Activation code 1289171)
B --- office number (Activation code 1289172)
C --- mobile number (Activation code 1289173)
Any subscriber D (BSNL or other PLMN) calls above number.
When User is at home and he can receive all incoming calls on the home number by dialling 1289171 from either A,B or C.
When user is in office and he can receive all incoming calls by the office number by dialling 1289172 from either A,B or C.
When User goes outside and he can receive all incoming calls on the mobile number by dialling 1289173 from either A,B or C.

FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) tariff  (under Post Paid Scenario) –

" BSNL TUNES " , the Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT) service of BSNL which is presently available to fixed line user of Dum Dum 5ESS Exchange and EWSD Exchanges at Telephone Bhawan , Burabazar, Chittaranjan, Bagbazar, Baracpore, Salt Lake, Manicktala, Circus, Jadavpur, Behala Shibpur, Russa and their connected RSUs Customer can avail this service by just dialing 56700 and can select the song of their choice through Interactive Voice Response System ( IVRS ). Customer can de-subscribe the PRBT service by dialing 56700.

Phone Plus Services
Gone are tde days when basic telephones were used only to make and receive calls. With the aid of state-of-the-art digital exchanges, BSNL offers you a host of phone plus services, converting your old basic telephones to a sophisticated tool which can be used for a variety of applications.
All the Phone Plus facilities are available free of cost with effect from January 22nd, 2003.

  Call Waiting

This facility lets you receive incoming calls even when your telephone is busy. You will get a short duration pip-pip tone when you are busy talking, indicating that another call is waiting for you , provided you have activated this facility. You can talk to any one of the callers keeping the other waiting. Complete secrecy of communication between the two callers is maintained.

Procedure for activation/deactivation:

  • Dial 118 and get the acceptance tone similar to the engage tone but with a longer gap between the beeps.
  • Dial 119 and get the acceptance tone.

  Abbreviated Dialing

You may be calling a few people very frequently. It is possible to program these numbers as abbreviated codes of 1 or 2 digits. A maximum of 20 numbers can be programmed for abbreviated dialing. It is ideal for STD/ISD.

Procedure:

Step 1Select your short codeChoose a short code for the number you dial frequently e.g. '15' for the number xxxxxx. (if it's std no. std code+xxxxxx)
Step 2Register short code for a telephone no.On your telephone dial 110 then the short code followed by the subscriber's number i.e. dial 110 15 xxxxxx.

  Hot Line

You may want to be connected directly to a pre-determined number as soon as you lift the hand set even without dialing. At the same time you may want to have the flexibility to dial any other number of your choice. It is possible to have this facility in the digital exchanges by the delayed hotline feature. The number of your choice can be programmed by the exchange staff at your request. After doing so if you lift the telephone and do not dial within 5 seconds, you will be automatically connected to the programmed number. However if you start dialing with in 5 seconds, you can make an outgoing call as usual. 

  Call Transfer (Call Forward)

Useful for very mobile persons who may not want to miss incoming calls. Using this facility Calls can be forwarded to another telephone number designated by you. 

Procedure for activation/deactivation:

  • Dial 114 followed by the telephone number for which the call is to be transferred. He will get the acceptance tone.
  • Dial 115 and wait for acceptance tone.

  Automatic Wake-Up/Reminder Call Service

When you want to be given reminder at a specific time, all you have to do is to call the exchange and leave the time you want to be reminded. The facility allows you to initiate a call automatically by the exchange at a fixed time specified by the user of the telephone. 
  • Dial 116 (the registration code) followed by the time you wish to be reminded or worken-up at 06.15am (06.15hrs), you will dial 1160615.
  • Dial 117 (the cancellation code) followed by the time you booked the call.

  Number/Call Hunting Service

If you have more than one telephone line, this facility is very helpful for your caller. If the called line is engaged, your caller does not have to disconnect and dial other line(s). This facility automatically transfers the incoming call to whichever line is free. 

  Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP)

The subscriber has to buy separately the CLIP display device from market. Using this facility you can see the number of the calling party before lifting your telephone. Very useful to trace malicious caller. However, the CLIP instrument shall be procured and installed by the users themselves. 

  Calling Line Identification (CLI) Announcement Service

Dial 164 and listen to the number of the phone line that you have used to make the call. Very useful when in doubt about your phone number. 

  Phone Bell Check

Dial 161 and after a few second replace the hand set. Your phone will ring very soon. Useful for checking functioning or adjusting volume of bell of your phone. 

  Electronic Locking For STD/ISD

For 100% protection against improper use, you can lock your telephone electronically. Here, you only know the secret code. You can lock/allow Local, STD or ISD calls in many way viz. all calls allowed, only local calls allowed, only STD & Local calls allowed, all outgoing calls barred etc.

What is the BSNL Apps?
The BSNL Apps is a one stop shop for all BSNL Mobile (2G/2.5G/3G) customers to purchase and download applications for use on their handsets. An application is a software which you can download onto your handset for personal use e.g. Calorie Calculator etc.
What is the advantage of using or downloading applications from BSNL Apps?
The BSNL Apps provides you thousands of applications, utilities, games and themes. A wide-array of applications is available on the Apps Store & Applications are updated on a regular basis.
Is this service available for all BSNL Customers?
Yes, this service is for both Pre-paid and Post-paid BSNL mobile subscribers ‘having GPRS facility’.
How can I Access the BSNL Apps?
You should have GPRS facility activated on your mobile and you need to visit BSNL Live WAP Portal. A “BSNL Apps” icon is available on the BSNL Live Home page for you to access the various applications.
How can I use BSNL Apps?
Steps to use Apps Store:

1. Click “BSNL Apps” icon on the BSNL Live home page.
2. On the BSNL Apps home page select from the menu of applications.
3. On selecting a specific category from the menu you would then be presented a list of available applications which you can download under that category.
4. On selecting any specific application you would then be presented with the details of the application along with the price.
5. Some applications are available for Free and would display only a "Download" option with Zero price point.
6. You would then need to click/select the Buy or Download; the application would begin to download on your mobile.
7. The application will install on your handset. After the install is complete, you will see the option to 'Start Now?' depending on your handset.
8. If you select 'Yes' the application will start.
9. If you select 'No' you will be back to the Apps Store Receipt page. Here you can click on “Apps Store" link to go back to the BSNL Apps home page.
How do I find the file size of an application which I am interested in downloading?
File sizes are listed on each application's page, near the Buy/Download button.
Will the applications available on BSNL Apps site be compatible to my handset?
Only those applications that are compatible to your handset are displayed when you browse through the Apps Store.
What are the charges for browsing and downloading from BSNL Apps?
The browsing & downloading of content / application will be as per your data plan and you would be charged for the content only when you download a particular application on your handset. For browsing you will be charged separately and for download you would be charged only when you download a particular application on your handset. The charges vary by application. These charges are displayed before you actually download. The following charging models are currently used:

a. Free download
b. One-time payment – you are charged one time prior to download.
c. Subscription payment – can be per month, per week or per day. Per month model gives you an initial 30 day access to the application with automatic 30 day renewals till you cancel. Similarly per week gives you 7 day access and per day gives you 24 hour access.
d. Data charges for browsing/Downloading/network-aware apps are extra & as per Data plan opted by you.
Where can I find a list of my purchased applications?
To see your purchased applications, click My Purchases link on the BSNL Apps homepage.
How can I see what purchases I made and what active subscriptions I have?
Click on My Purchases link on Apps Store to see the list of purchases. If the application is a subscription application then you will see when the subscription is activated till and what the renewal period is (i.e. monthly, weekly or daily).
Are there any regional applications available on BSNL Apps?
Yes, there are plenty of regional applications available on BSNL Apps for our regional customers.
When I am in Roaming, can I use BSNL Apps?
Yes you can use BSNL Apps when you are in roaming.
I just purchased an application. How do I install it on my handset?
On selecting the download option, all applications would get installed automatically on your handset. Some handsets may prompt you to confirm whether you want to download and install the application.
On downloading an application where does this get saved on my handset?

This is a handset Feature. Some handsets may prompt you to define where you would want the application to be saved. In case you have already made some settings the application may download itself on to the preferred location in your Handset.
How do I remove an application from my handset?
The application would be saved as an Icon on your preferred location where it has been saved. You would need to click on the icon and select the delete or remove menu. In case you do not get these options directly you might need to delete the application through Mobile desktop Manager which comes bundled with your handset.
I downloaded the application but cannot find it on my handset. What do I do?
If you have a Nokia handset, please look for the app in Menu > Applications > My Own. For other handsets please look in the Games or Applications folder. Otherwise, please try the Search function on the handset.
I am not able to download an application though my account has been charged. What should I do?
If the download process has not completed due to any reason you can visit the Apps Store Home Page again and click on the ‘My Purchases’ link to re-download another 2nd time without any extra charges for the application.
I tried to download an application. The process started but then froze in between. What should I do?
You should check your network connectivity and try again. You could also visit the Apps Home Page again and Click on the ‘My Purchase’ link to re-download again without any extra charges.
I am trying to download an application but nothing seems to happen?
In all probability this would be a handset related issue. Some basic checks would need to be done to ensure that your Handset is capable to download the applications.

• To check that there is enough memory on your handset.
• Time and date should be correctly configured.
• Clear the cache memory on your handset.

We would request you to download the applications again. In case you are still not able to download the application please contact our BSNL customer care.
I am getting the following errors when I am trying to download the application. What should I do?

How do I cancel my subscription for an application?
A. You can cancel an application subscription in one of the following ways:

1. You will receive a subscription renewal reminder text message. Click on the link in the message to cancel your subscription.
2. Go to My Purchases link on BSNL Apps, find the application you want to cancel and click 'Cancel'.
3. Call BSNL Customer care.
What happens when I cancel my subscription for an application?
There will be no further charges on your account for the application. You will have access to the application till the end of the current access period. E.g. if you canceled on the 15th day of a monthly subscription then you will have access to the application till the 30th day.
