New SIM Activation: As per DOT guidelines, for activation of new SIM, subscriber shall fill in the NEW CAF with unique S. No. at the point of sale (Retailer/ BSNL CSC) along with his photograph, self attested Proof of identity (POI) & self attested proof of address (POA). The details of the POI & POA are also to be filled in the new CAF. The point of Sale shall give a receipt (available in the CAF) with details filled therein.
The CAF is the to be entered in the system by Franchisee/ BSNL CSC and forwarded to designated BSNL officer. On receipt of original CAF, the designated BSNL officer shall approve the same in the system and the subscriber shall get the signal wherein he can only make call to call centre on 1507 for televerification.
The subscriber has to dial 1507 for tele verification of his name, address, POI & POA. Within 4 hours of tele-verification, the SIM shall be activated for all outgoing & incoming. For any further clarification, regarding tariff, VAS, phone plus facilities, subscribers can dial toll
free number 1503 & not 1507.
