To rescue Mobile users from unwanted SMS Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) came up with new regulations
Only 100 FREE or Discounted SMS are allowed from a single SIM card per day
After 100 SMS for each SMS 50 paise has to be charged
Within next 15 days these rules will come in to effect
within next 3 months there will be more regulations, for this TRAI has asked telecom operators to give suggestions
Now on Wards if any Mobile user gets unwanted SMS he can complain to the1909
For this
Along with unwanted SMS , From which Number you received the SMS and Received date send the details to 1909
Now onwards Telecom operators also should make arrangements to receive complaints about unwanted SMS online
Telecom operators before giving new connection should take written declaration from the new user that he will not use the connection for telemarketing
if this declaration broken first time means Notice, Second Time Connection has to be removed
If registered Telemarketing people violate the rules then 25thousand to 2.5 lakhs fine
